Our Story - P.B.’s Fish & Chips: Serving the Durham Region since 1980

For over four decades, P.B.'s Fish and Chips has served generations of families great fish and chips. All menu items are prepared to order and our chips are cut fresh daily in house. The recipe for our light crisp batter is a family secret that has people returning week after week. 

Peter and Bobbie Maltha started their career perfecting the fish and chip business in 1971, managing the then-famous Margaret's Fish and Chips in Agincourt, Ontario. When P.B.'s was opened in 1980, Peter and Bobbie launched their version of the "better poutine". With layered fresh cheddar cheese curds, homemade gravy and our signature fresh cut chips, a legend in the poutine world was born.
